TRUE-SHIPPING

What is “TRUE-Shipping”?

Your purchase is charged on the actual or “True” shipping cost- based on weight, dimensions and ship to location.

What is the difference between “FREE shipping” and “TRUE-Shipping”?

With "TRUE-Shipping" your purchase, weight and ship to location are calculated. You only pay for the shipping cost that applies to your purchase. Another person ordering the exact same item but living a greater distance than you, would pay a higher shipping charge.

With so called “Free Shipping” everyone pays the same.  Therefore you are paying more to pay for the shipping cost of someone else’s order who lives further than you.

How am I paying for someone else’s order when it says “Free Shipping”?

Since there is no delivery service  we know of - that does not charge for shipping, someone has to pay. The so-called "FREE-Shipping" method adds a fixed amount or an average amount to the cost of the product.  Therefore if you should have been  or qualified for a lesser shipping amount, it's too bad. In effect you are subsidizing the cost to ship to the farthest distination, not yours.

I don’t understand what you are saying.  Can you explain?

Let say there are only four (4) shipping Zones in the US.  And Zone 4 is the furthest distance from the warehouse “A”.  Your purchase is $125.00 with “Free” shipping.  And it might be shipped using either UPS or FedEx.

Now let’s talk about shipping your purchase which actually costs $100.00 to Zones 1, 2, 3 and 4 from warehouse “A”.  Each zone that individual purchased exactly the same item.

           1.       Zone 1: if you live in Zone 1 shipping would be  - shipping charge - $10.00

           2.       Zone 2: if you live in Zone 2 shipping would be  - shipping charge - $20.00

3.       Zone 3: if you live in Zone 3 shipping would be  - shipping charge - $30.00

4.       Zone 4: if you live in Zone 4 shipping would be  - shipping charge - $40.00

Now you look at your $125.00 purchase and might say Hey! Wait a minute, I live in Zone 1 and was overcharged $15.00.  The other person in Zone 2 might says Hey!  I was overcharged by $10.00 and the third person in Zone 3 says – I was only overcharged by $5.00.

The question is WHO really gets the “FREE” shipping and WHO pays for it.

How do I know what I should be charged?

If you want to know, call the shipper of your purchase. Ask what your shipping charge is back to the warehouse.  When returning a purchase, this is normally what any source requires you to do. You pay shipping charges for returns.  If you’re lucky your source will not deduct the initial shipping charges to you, what was called "Free Shipping".
